SmartFlow forms

The guided one-question-per-screen booking form, and how it differs from the other two form styles.

SmartFlow is one of three form styles a booking event can use. It presents one question per screen rather than a single page of fields, with an optional welcome screen and answer-based branching.

The three form styles

Stepped — a multi-step form with several fields grouped per step.

Slide — a slide-based form.

SmartFlow — guided, one question per screen, with a welcome screen and smart branching.

You choose the style in the event builder and can switch between them.

Why one question per screen

Long forms lose people. Showing a single question at a time makes each step feel small, and it lets you route different prospects down different paths based on what they answer.

The trade-off is more screens to click through. For a short form of two or three fields, a stepped form is often faster for the prospect. SmartFlow earns its keep when you're qualifying properly.

The builder

SmartFlow events are built across five tabs:

TabWhat it covers
GeneralEvent name, duration, location, scheduling rules
FormYour questions, the welcome screen, styling
LogicBranching and disqualification
CalendarThe slot picker the prospect sees
ConfirmWhat happens after booking

A device preview sits alongside the editor so you can see the prospect's view as you build, including how it looks on mobile.

The welcome screen

An optional intro shown before the first question. Use it to set expectations: what the call covers, how long it takes, who it's for.

It's optional for a reason. If your traffic is already warm, an extra screen between them and the form is friction. If they've arrived cold from an ad, context helps.

Branching

Branching routes prospects to different questions based on their answers. Open the Logic tab and add a rule to a question.

Each rule matches on the answer and sends the prospect to a chosen question next. You can require that all conditions match or that any of them do, then pick where to go.

Typical uses:

  • Skip questions that don't apply based on an earlier answer
  • Ask deeper qualifying questions only of prospects who look like a fit
  • Route budget or team-size follow-ups only when the first answer warrants it

Disqualification

Also on the Logic tab. Disqualification ends the form for prospects who don't meet your criteria, rather than letting them book a call you don't want.

They're still captured as a lead, so you keep the contact details and can follow up another way. You just don't give up a slot.

Form options

SmartFlow forms have their own display settings:

  • Button text on each question
  • Question numbers — show or hide the position in the sequence
  • Progress bar — show or hide
  • Back button — let prospects return to a previous answer (on by default)
  • 12h/24h toggle on the calendar step (on by default)
  • Scheme colour — a single brand colour driving the progress bar, primary button, and input underline

Sharing a SmartFlow form

SmartFlow events have a Share button in the builder's top bar with several options, including a pop-up modal embed you can trigger from a button on your own site. Options become available once the event is published.

SmartFlow is also the only style that can be embedded as a popup in a SalesPad booking block. Classic styles are inline only.

Questions are reusable

Every question you add is saved to your team's question library, so you and your teammates can reuse it on other events. This works the same in SmartFlow and the classic form editor.
