Quick Start Guide

Get your first booking event up and running in just a few minutes.

Prerequisites

  • A SalesCal account (sign up at your SalesCal instance)
  • A Google account for calendar integration (recommended)

Step 1: Complete Your Profile

After logging in, you'll be prompted to complete your profile:

  1. Navigate to Settings from the sidebar
  2. Add your display name - this appears on your booking pages
  3. Set your timezone - all availability is based on this timezone
  4. Optionally add your company name and logo

Step 2: Set Your Availability

Before creating events, define when you're available for bookings:

  1. Go to Availability in the sidebar
  2. Click on each day to set your working hours
  3. For each day, set:
    • Start time - when you begin taking calls
    • End time - when you stop taking calls
  4. Toggle days off by unchecking them

Example Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Saturday - Sunday: Unavailable

Step 3: Create Your First Event

Now create a booking event that prospects can schedule:

  1. Go to Events in the sidebar
  2. Click Create Event
  3. Fill in the basic details:
    • Event Name: e.g., "Discovery Call"
    • Duration: e.g., 30 minutes
    • Description: Brief description shown to prospects
  4. Click Create

Step 4: Configure Your Booking Form

Customize what information you collect from prospects:

  1. From the event details page, go to the Form Fields section
  2. The default fields are:
    • Name (required)
    • Email (required)
    • Phone (optional)
  3. Add custom fields by clicking Add Field:
    • Choose field type (text, dropdown, radio, etc.)
    • Set the label and placeholder text
    • Mark as required or optional

Your event now has a shareable booking link:

  1. From the event details, copy your Booking URL
  2. The format is: yourdomain.com/book/[your-user-id]/[event-slug]
  3. Share this link via:
    • Email signatures
    • Social media profiles
    • Your website
    • Direct messages

Step 6: Test Your Booking Page

Before sharing with real prospects:

  1. Open your booking link in an incognito/private browser window
  2. Fill out the form as a test prospect would
  3. Select an available time slot
  4. Complete the booking
  5. Check that:
    • The meeting appears in your Meetings page
    • The lead appears in your Leads page
    • A calendar event was created (if Google Calendar connected)
